Seagrumn (“Sea”) Gilbert, Founder, focuses her practice on representing commercial tenants leasing space of all sizes, from five hundred square feet pop-up locations to headquarter sites. Her tenant clients include local start-ups to established national companies drawn from biotech, IT, automotive, travel and health care industries, among others. She also assists her clients in reviewing construction contracts in connection with tenant improvement projects. In addition, Sea has experience representing commercial real estate owners in leasing and acquisition transactions. Prior to opening her own practice, Sea was an Associate with Stein & Lubin LLP in San Francisco and Cooley LLP in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
Sea is a proud Tar Heel, having earned her B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy in 2001 from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, before obtaining her J.D. and LL.M. in International and Comparative Law in 2004 from Duke University School of Law (during which time she remained true to Carolina Blue). She is admitted to practice in California (active) and North Carolina (inactive).
